We Are Back! The Celebrity Concert Series returns this fall!

We have been anxiously waiting for a LONG time. We have been through countless ticket sales, ticket exchanges for socially distanced seating, cancellations, refunds, shutdowns, lockdowns, wipe downs, and a few meltdowns. We made plans, revised, thought outside of the box, revised again, and thrown our plans completely out the window. We scheduled, rescheduled, and cancelled events but now… it is finally time to get back to what we do best, presenting to you the amazing entertainment of the Celebrity Concert Series 2021-22 Season!

The beauty of art, music, and laughter have connected us virtually for the last year, but it will be even better as we experience these season's offerings live – and together! As always, the Utah Symphony is kicking off our season on September 30th.  We are pleased to say that many of the cancelled performances from last season will finally join our stage! Wartime Radio Revue, BYU Ballroom, and William Joseph with the Dixie State Symphony Orchestra are just a few. What else can you expect to see at the Celebrity Concert Series this year? Check out some of the line-up.

The Golden Dragon Acrobats are sure to thrill and excite with gravity-defying, family-friendly entertainment. This world touring group has been educating audiences on the art of traditional Chinese acrobatics for over 30 years.  The Drifters are back with their iconic soul sound and polished performance style, serenading the audience with classics “Up On The Roof” and “Under The Boardwalk”.

Back for another holiday concert is the whimsical Musical Ireland, presenting the NEW Irish Christmas In America. Complete with Irish step dancing and lively instrumental tunes on fiddle, flute, and harp. Live From Laurel Canyon: Songs and Stories of American Folk Rock is a captivating review of iconic folk groups flourishing in the 60’s and 70’s. Expect anything from

the Byrds to the Eagles in this satisfying look back on a time that shaped American music.

Sure to be a crowd-pleaser, The Sharpe Family Singers is a night not to be missed. Falling in love on the performance stage and getting married, the Sharpe’s share their memories and hit Broadway favorites. Each member gives a powerhouse performance and will leave you wanting more.  There truly is something for everyone this season at Celebrity Concert Series.

Dear Valued Patrons,

We want to thank you for your patience over the last month since our announcement to cancel the fall portion of the Celebrity Concert Series. Each week we have been evaluating the possibility of future performances scheduled from January to March. As we receive updated directives from state officials and the Southwest Public Health Department along with information of increasing Covid-19 cases in our area, we feel it is best to postpone the remaining Celebrity Concert Series season for the health and well-being of our community.

All tickets for canceled shows will be refunded over the coming days. There is no need to contact the DSU Ticket Office to confirm, only keep in mind that it may take time for our staff to address each order and process your refund. We cherish your patronage and loyalty as we have been working hard to find a solution to move forward. You have been patient and understanding through this process and we appreciate you!

On a positive note, we are looking forward to the fall of 2021! Our season was carefully selected to provide a variety of entertainment full of uplifting performances for our patrons and we are happy to announce that the majority will remain unchanged for the 21-22 season. For now, we hope that you have a healthy and happy holiday season. Although this year we cannot be together, we are sending well wishes and thoughts your way. Looking forward to a safer time where we can see your smiling faces in our audience will always keep us motivated to present performance art that will bond us together as a community. We miss you, we appreciate you, and we hope you have a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year!

Dear Valued Patrons,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the postponement of the Celebrity Concert Series through December 2020. Unfortunately, we have watched the steady increase of Covid cases in our area and the safety of our patrons has always been our number one priority. At this point in time, we do not feel comfortable proceeding with our season.

We have worked diligently through evaluating our approach, addressing patron concerns, presenting updated plans, and going back to the drawing board numerous times in order to move forward successfully. With our county being evaluated on a weekly basis, we don’t have the time to adequately prepare and plan our events.

After all these considerations we have made the difficult decision to postpone our season until January 2021 when we will reevaluate to be certain we can bring our audiences and artists back safely, preserve the integrity of the Celebrity Concert Series, and offer you an excellent season that you have the right to expect from our organization.

All tickets for canceled shows will be refunded over the coming days. There is no need to contact the DSU Ticket Office to confirm, only keep in mind that it may take time for our staff to address each order and process your refund. We appreciate your continued patience and we apologize for the uncertainty and the last minute change.

For those of you with tickets for CCS events from January to March, no need to worry. Keep your tickets for the time being as we are hopeful in planning to carry out the remaining season. As always we will keep you informed as new developments arise through our website, www.celebrityconcertseries.com, Facebook page and emails. We have wonderful performers on our calendar that we hope to present to you in the spring.  Although it is unfortunate to miss the incredible line up through December, rest assured we plan to have each group return next year as part of our 2021-22 season.

We truly appreciate your patience and support during this time. It breaks our hearts to cancel when we know the healing power of the arts is so very needed in our communities right now. We are looking forward to getting together soon when it is safe to do so. Please stay healthy and well. We will see you in 2021!
